Questions about due dates
Which due dates apply to a private limited company?
Every private limited company has annual ROC filings (AGM, AOC-4, MGT-7 or MGT-7A, ADT-1 when the auditor is appointed), its income tax return by 31 October, advance tax, and DPT-3 and MSME-1 where applicable. GST, TDS and PF/ESI dates are added once the company is registered under those laws. Choose “Private Limited” above to see the full list.
What changed for TDS returns from FY 2026-27?
Under the Income-tax Act, 2025 the quarterly statements are filed in new forms: Form 138 for salary (earlier 24Q), Form 140 for other residents (26Q), Form 144 for non-residents (27Q) and Form 143 for TCS (27EQ). The TCS return is now due on 31 July for the first quarter, the same as TDS.
Is DIR-3 KYC still due every year?
No. From 31 March 2026 the routine DIR-3 KYC is due once every three years by 30 June. Any change in a director’s mobile number, email or residential address must still be updated within 30 days.
What happens if a date falls on a Sunday or holiday?
Some portals accept filings on the next working day, but not all laws allow it. We recommend filing at least one working day before the due date.
Are extended due dates shown?
Yes. When the government notifies an extension, the calendar shows the extended date and the original one. For FY 2025-26, the CBDT has extended the tax audit report to 21 October 2026 and audit-case returns to 21 November 2026. No MCA extension has been notified for AOC-4 and MGT-7 as of 13 October 2026.
